ここの掲示板から皆様方の知恵を拝借し、networksolutions にて DNS を他プロバイダに切替え、Digiweb との契約も終了できました。皆様にお礼申し上げると共に、私の経験をお伝えします。
結局 Digiweb は、 FAQ に書いてある事とは異なり、アカウントマネージャーには「アカウントのキャンセル」のメニューはありませんでしたが、 cancellations@interliant.com にメールを出した所、 https://cp.interliant.com/ からキャンセルできるとのメールが自分のドメイン宛に来て(しかし、パスワードは新しいのがメールに書いてあってこれを使うように書いてあったから、やっぱり移行期間でちょっとうまく行っていないのでしょうか)、それに従って記入項目を埋めた所、その日のうちに手続き完了のメールが来ました。
＃ちなみに、やめる理由には「貴社が Geocities 以下だから」と書きました。
ちなみに引越し先ですが、 UCVHOST という、$1/月 の所です。とディスクは 50MB ですが、メールアカウントは無制限で、Web の転送量でさらに課金される事は有りません。私程度の使い方の場合は、ドメインパーキング(タダの所もある)に毛が生えた様な物でも間に合いますから。
まだ使い始めたばかりなので信頼性その他に関してコメントできる程の運用実績はありませんが、Digiweb で鍛えた(?) 身には、「わぁ〜、FTP ができる! メールもちゃんと受信できる! 何て素晴らしいんだろう」と思いました。(苦笑)
もちろん、この値段では固定 IP は割り振られません。IP-based virtual hosts から Name-based virtual hosts に格下げです。まあ、相当に古いブラウザ(HTTP/1.0 のみ対応）でアクセスされた場合以外は関係無いでしょう。
UCVHOST は使い易い事で定評の圧縮・解凍ソフト LHUT32 (フリーウェアから、カンパウェアに変わりました) の作者による親切な解説ページもあります。 http://kazusoft.cc/ucv.html
